A true piece of fashion history, this Victorian black linen bodice is very special! It has a front placket panel, with pleats on either side, and four pleats at each shoulder. It closes with hooks and eyes up the left side. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulders, are cut in a dramatic curve that gathers to the cuffs that feature rows of pleats. The waist features a small peplum and is gathered in the centre front and back, and the back has two rows of pleats down the centre.
